Carlton Town has this week completed the signing of Kieron Walker from Mickleover Sports.
The talented defender has also played for Belper Town and Grantham Town and is a player new Millers manager Wayne Scott rates highly.
Scott is eager to make big improvements to his squad folloing Carlton’s disappointing start to the season
Another new signing, winger Kofi Halliday, came on as a second-half substitute for The Millers against Newcastle Town and impressed during Saturdays 2-1 defeat.
Scott is working hard to change the clubs fortunes after a dissapointing season last time round under Les Mcjannet and after a poor start this time round under Scott.
Despite a poor start to the season, Carlton Town’s website reports that the board are prepared to give Scott, who was recruited over the summer, time to move the club forward again.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Senior figures at the club understand how difficult it is for the new manager, given the departures and limited budget at the club and all are focused on a positive end game, which will hopefully see The Millers move onwards and upwards once again in the coming months.”
