Film fans are being offered the chance to watch two classic Hollywood blockbusters as they wait to witness the stunning Perseid meteor shower at its peak in the skies over Mapperley.
The Sunset Cinema Club are putting on a pop-up cinema event at the bowling green in Haywood Road this August following the success of their last summer screening a few weeks ago.
People can watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind on Friday, August 10 and Dirty Dancing on Saturday, August 11.
Both films are being screened during over the weekend when the Perseid meteor shower is expected to hit it peak – and will hopefully give film-goers a chance to catch a glimpse as they enjoy the outside event.
There will also be a pre-show dance-a-long from Studio 3 dance and fitness centre in Mapperley and pizza will also be available to order.
