Here are some of the highlights.

Josh O’Connor takes centre stage in Golden Boy

The Crown and Challengers star Josh O’Connor leads the cast of National Theatre Live: Golden Boy, screening on Wednesday, November 11, Monday, November 16 and Friday, November 20.

The revival of Clifford Odets’ American classic transports audiences to Depression-era New York, where talented young violinist Joe Bonaparte is tempted away from music by the fame and fortune offered by professional boxing.

Further National Theatre Live screenings announced for the venue include Hay Fever in January and The Motive & the Cue in February.

Live music and comedy

Music fans can catch Jazz Steps: Claire Martin and Jim Mullen on Thursday, November 5 at 7.30pm, while Comedy Hotspot brings a night of live comedy to the venue on Friday, November 6 at 8pm.

Later in the month, tribute act QWEEN UK brings the songs of Queen to Arnold for two nights on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14, with both shows beginning at 7.30pm.

There is also An Evening of Magic on Thursday, November 12 at 7.30pm.

Opera and theatre on the big screen

Those after something a little more dramatic can see Noël Coward’s Fallen Angels on Saturday, November 7 at 1.30pm, while the Royal Opera’s production of Carmen will be screened on Tuesday, November 10 and Sunday, November 15.

Plenty for film fans too

The November cinema programme includes Sense & Sensibility, showing on November 5, 7 and 9, alongside catch-up screenings of Pressure on November 6, 7 and 9.

Other films heading to the Arnold venue include The Social Reckoning, Heart of the Beast and The Winter of the Crow.

Film fans can also catch Ken Russell’s controversial classic The Devils on Monday, November 16 and Wednesday, November 18.

Christmas comes to The Bonington

And if November isn’t quite early enough to start watching Christmas films, don’t worry. December is where things get properly festive.

The Muppet Christmas Carol will be screened twice on Friday, December 18, at 1.30pm and 7.30pm.

It will be joined by Elf at 4.30pm on the same day, before The Polar Express rolls into the cinema at 1.30pm on Saturday, December 19.

Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint will also be shown on Tuesday, December 1 and Wednesday, December 2.
