Officers were called to a property on St Andrew’s Road just after 1.45pm yesterday (August 11) after it was reported that someone had walked into an elderly woman’s house and stole money.

Inspector Mark Stanley said: “Criminals often target the most vulnerable people in our communities and this is absolutely unacceptable.

“We do everything we can to protect people and to take action against those who look to profit by exploiting others.”
