Two men, one aged in his 20s and another in his 30s, were taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives launched an investigation which involved a trawl of CCTV footage, forensic analysis and house-to-house inquiries.

Twenty-year-old Marshall Williams Handley, of Mansfield Road, Daybrook, has been charged with two counts of committing grievous bodily harm with intent and one of possession of a bladed article in a public place.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (8 April) and was remanded in custody until 6 May 2025 when he is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court.

Detective Sergeant Jo Eaton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We know this isolated incident caused concern in the community so I am pleased we can share this update on our investigation.

“A team of officers has worked quickly and efficiently to trace a suspect and he has been arrested, charged and placed before magistrates at the earliest opportunity.”
