A kind-hearted seven-year-old girl has cut off her lovely locks to help make wigs for poorly children who have lost their hair.
Mila Pouncey visited KH Hair in Arnold to have her waist-length hair cut short for the Little Princess Trust charity which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions.
KH Hair Stylist, Autumn, carried out the cut free of charge at the town’s High Street salon.
Mum, Joanne, says Mila had mentioned she would like her hair cut so she told her all about the Little Princess Trust charity and the work they do.
She said: “Mila has a big heart and was very keen to donate her hair to this amazing charity and also to try and raise enough money for an additional wig, which she achieved in just 24 days.”
“She was treated like a princess at KH Hair and loved every minute of it. Autumn looked after her so well whilst cutting her hair, constantly reassuring her how beautiful it looked and it really did.
“Throughout the past few years, some of my friends have benefited from these wigs and the difference they make is heart-warming .”
KH Hair salon director, Dawn Bramhall, said: ” Mila was so brave and we’re all really proud of her. Little Princess Trust is a wonderful charity that we have supported for a number of years and we were very happy to help.”
