DIY chain B&Q has now reopened its store at Victoria Retail Park in Netherfield as lockdown measures remain in place.
The retail giant said it has introduced “social distancing controls”, such as capping the number of customers in-store.
B&Q had closed its shops since the end of March after the government introduced lockdown measures to try to contain the spread of Covid-19.
However, hardware shops were included on the government’s list of essential retailers that were allowed to trade under the restrictions and B&Q customers could continue to shop online.
B&Q’s said its reopened stores are currently not accepting cash, with only card or contactless payments permitted.
Only products that shoppers can take away with them from the store on the day are available, but you can still snap up something like a standalone sink if that it what you are after.
The retailer has paused its bathroom and kitchen design services, while its paint mixing, timber cutting and key cutting services are also closed for the time being.
For B&Q shoppers still ordering online, the chain said: ‘We continue to offer our Click+Collect service at diy.com.
