Asda launches Christmas dinner for less than £5 per person

The big 4 grocer says you can pack your freezer with Christmas essentials and feed five people for just £21.48 on the big day.

Savvy shoppers using Asda’s store in Arnold can take advantage of its new frozen dinner offer, where you can can pick up a Christmas meal for a family of five for under £22.

Costing approximately £4.40 per head, the big 4 grocer, who has a store in Arnold, says it hopes the offer will help customers spread the cost of Christmas as the cost of living crisis bites.

Users of the Asda Rewards App users will also earn £1.50 in their cash pot when they spend £20 on selected frozen Christmas dinner essentials, such as Brussels Sprouts, British Turkey and Pigs in Blankets, until 27 November.

The supermarket giant says they are offering the cheapest frozen deal on the market with Asda’s Frozen Christmas Dinner offer over 40p cheaper per head than the nearest competitor

The list of Frozen Christmas dinner products available includes all of the below:

  • Asda Basted Small British Turkey, Frozen (approx. 2.6kg) – £13.50
  • Asda Frozen for Freshness Sliced Carrots (1kg) – £1.10
  • Asda Frozen for Freshness Garden Peas (1kg) – £1.25
  • Asda Party Pigs in Blankets, Frozen (12pk) – £2.50
  • Asda Crispy Roast Potatoes, Frozen (800g) – £0.88
  • Asda Frozen for Freshness Brussels Sprouts (1kg) – £1.25
  • Asda Frozen Yorkshire Puddings, (12pk) – £1.00

The news comes as Asda has become the fastest growing retailer in the past three months as shopper visits to stores have increased by 7% as they begin to prepare for the Christmas period.

The retailer has also become the latest supermarket to limit the number of eggs customers can buy due to ongoing supply chain issues amid avian flu.
