Police officers arrested a 27-year old man in the early hours of the morning following reports of an assault at a house party in Gedling.
Nottinghamshire Police were called just before 3.45am on Saturday, November 23 after reports of the assault in Wollaton Avenue, where it was claimed a man had been hit over the head with a metal pole.
The victim – a 17-year old boy – was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre after he lost consciousness at the scene. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police Said: “A 27-year old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after he attended hospital.
“Three further arrests were made following further disorder at hospital while the victim was receiving treatment for his injuries.”

Inspector Georgie Ball from Nottinghamshire Police said: “Our officers are investigating this report of what is a particularly nasty assault and we have made a number of arrests as part of our enquiries.
“Although our enquiries remain at an early stage to understand how this teenager came to be injured, we believe that the victim and suspect are known to one another and that there is no wider threat to the local community.”
Anyone with any information about the assault is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 131 of 23 November.
