Double Bill: The Wicker Man (50th Anniversary 4K Restoration) + Midsommar (18) – Bonington Cinema, Arnold, 6.00pm
Widely regarded as one of the best British horror films, The Wicker Man very nearly sank into obscurity shortly after being made. The story concerns a devout Christian police officer’s journey to a remote Scottish island to investigate the case of a missing child. He instead finds a community that has renounced Christianity in favour of pagan fertility rites.
The second part of our double bill will be Ari Aster’s modern folk-horror masterpiece Midsommar.

After the success of her tour in 2022, Nell Bryden is back on the road with an extensive set of dates promoting her latest album “Arms Around The Flame”.
In the lull of the pandemic Nell Bryden has been anything but quiet. She has written and recorded a whole new album in Manhattan and LA, digging deeper than ever to document the breakdown of her marriage. Themes of heartbreak, self-empowerment and resilience resonate throughout the album, already being called her strongest yet. With four more songs added to the BBC Radio 2 playlist since her release of her greatest hits album, “The Collection”, Nell is spoilt for choice on what to play. Expect one fabulous song after another from this New Yorker.

Formed in 1997, Scandal have travelled around the world playing to audiences and have gained a huge following of young and older audiences alike.
The multi award winning pop duo bring their high energy show to Richard Herrod Centre on Saturday 24 June, with a vast range of classic hits to sing along to.

UK Car Events – Papplewick Pumping Station
The pumping station is host to UK Car Events whom are organising a vehicle car meet & photo shoot on Saturday June 24th, 10am-4pm . If you’re into your cars or you wish to exhibit, please follow the event link below to buy tickets (please be aware that due to unforeseen circumstances, reservoir tours won’t be available).
NB: Please note this event is organised by UK Car Events, not the pumping station and therefore visitor Annual Passes will not be valid.
