Police warning as thieves target sheds and garages across Gedling borough

Police are asking people across the borough to remain vigilant after thieves targeted sheds and  garages across the area in recent days.

Peddle cycles and tools were taken during the incidents which took place in Daybrook, Porchester, and Papplewick

Colwick has also been targeted.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “We’re investigating eight incidents of sheds or garages being broken into in the Gedling area in the past week.

“The incidents were reported to us between 8.15am on Tuesday 15 January in the Fernleigh Avenue area of Porchester through to 12.10pm today (Monday 21 January) in the Abbots Close area of Daybrook.

“Other areas targeted were Moor Road in Papplewick and areas of Colwick.

They added: “Enquiries are ongoing and increased police patrols are taking place in the area and will continue over the coming days.”
