A Lowdham pub is set to reopen tomorrow (4) following a £500,000 makeover.

The Springfield Inn on Old Epperstone Road will open to guests tomorrow evening with a special VIP event and taster evening, following a short nine-day closure while the refurbishments were carried out.

The new-look pub and restaurant has an improved dining and bar area, with new furniture, carpets and lighting throughout, as well as an Inn Keeper’s Lodge providing charming local accommodation consisting of 11 stylishly refurbished bedrooms, and complete with complimentary breakfast, free WiFi and guest parking.

As well as an improved bar area, the pub also offers a wide range of regional cask ales, and it has added more whiskies and gins to its menu including a delicious rhubarb flavoured one – perfect for  guests looking for a cosy spot to enjoy after work drinks with friends.

Amy Brooke, general manager at The Springfield Inn said: “The fresh look dining and bar area looks fantastic and guests have already been very complimentary about the new décor and layout, especially now it’s getting a bit colder and we have our beautiful log fires roaring.

“At The Springfield Inn, we understand the importance of creating a warm place where guests can feel relaxed, and where they can bring the whole family together to enjoy some great quality, tasty food and share good times.

“Whether you’re planning a dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with the family, The Springfield Inn is more than just a pub, it’s like a home from home.

“We would encourage anyone to pop in and check out the new look for themselves, book a table in our restaurant, or join us for after work drinks with our extensive range of fine wines and local ales.”
