This simple stone was erected in 1819 by the shocked residents in response to the murder of a teenager from the rural village of Papplewick.

The pumping station, built between 1882-86 in the Gothic Revival style, provided clean water to Nottingham until it was decommissioned in 1969

The event on October 18/19 is a popular steam fair with something for everyone.
