A 35-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating an attempted armed robbery at a car showroom in Colwick
A man burst into NG Car Sales, on Colwick Industrial Estate, at about 5pm on Saturday, July 11, threatening the business manager with the silver weapon.

The member of staff was able to flee out of a back door and the robber left the scene empty handed.

The gun was not used and nobody was injured in the incident.
An arrest was made yesterday (27 June, 2016).
The man arrested has subsequently been bailed pending further enquiries.
