Hundreds of Gedling borough residents sign up for COVID vaccine trials

Hundreds of residents in Gedling borough have signed up to take part in trials to find a vaccine for COVID-19.

So far a total of 255 people from the borough have signed up to aid scientists in the hunt for a much-needed vaccine.

The figures show the split between genders, with 125 male and 130 female volunteers.

50 are aged between 18 and 39, 110 between 40 and 59 and 95 are aged between 60 and 79.

Across the country 133,820 people have signed up to take part in the trials .
