A new mobile app offering up-to-date information and offers from leisure services across the borough was launched this week.
The new Gedling Leisure app is available to download now for iOS and Android smartphones via app stores.
As well as news and offers, the new app also provides the latest class and swim timetables from leisure centres in the borough and also a list of memberships packages for gyms and local fitness classes.
Users can also receive push notifications for important news like promotions and can share classes or swim sessions with friends and family through Facebook.
The app launch comes as part of a move to bring access to council leisure facilities up-to-date with private companies, in the hope that residents will take advantage of Gedling Borough Council’s services and enjoy the benefits of four leisure centres and three swimming pools.
Councillor Henry Wheeler, Portfolio Holder for Housing, Health & Wellbeing said: “The Gedling Leisure app is an excellent idea because it gives residents instant access to our leisure services.
“Having a mobile app allows people to get the information they need easily, in a way that fits around their lifestyle. I hope the app encourages people to make the most of our leisure facilities; it’s really leisure at your fingertips”
