Gedling football team make appeal after new kits for youth team stolen

A Gedling football team is appealing to the public for help in tracking down a batch of brand new football kits that were stolen from the home of the team’s manager.

Gedling Southbank ordered the new kits for their younger teams after funding was agreed with McDonalds who provide sportswear to FA Charter Standard Clubs.

But the new kits were stolen shortly after being delivered to the home of one of the club’s managers last week.

A club spokesman said: “This package (pictured, above) was delivered to the the home of one of our managers last Monday (1) and left in a ‘safe’ place.

“Unfortunately it would appear someone has seen the delivery take place and has taken the package before our manager returned home.”

The missing package contained 11 Nike orange and black tops, pictured above, one Nike green goalkeeper top, 12 Nike black shorts and 12 Nike red socks.

If you hear or see anything regarding this kit, please contact the club on Facebook or go direct to Nottinghamshire Police quoting Crime Number 16000220539
