A flood alert remains in place at Stoke Bardolph as water levels on the River Trent continue to rise.
The Environment Agency said earlier today ‘flooding is possible’.
They said: “River levels are rising at the Colwick river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is expected to continue.
“No further significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high for the next 48 hours.

“We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
They added: “Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses”.
The Ferry Boat Inn said it’s ‘business as usual’, despite the rising water levels.
A staff member told Gedling Eye: “We have no plans to close. We have been open all week when there has been flooding and we plan to stay open.”
