Cyclist treated for minor injuries following collision with car in Calverton

POLICE are appealing for information after a cyclist was left with minor injuries when he was hit by a car which failed to stop.

The 54-year-old man was cycling towards Ravenshead when he was hit from behind by a silver Volkwagen Golf estate, with a ’15’ registration plate.

The vehicle lost its left wing mirror in the collision and this was left at the scene.

The incident happened in Longdale Lane, Calverton, at 11.46am on Sunday, September 18 2016.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or is aware of a vehicle matching the description is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 351 of 18 September 2016.
