Colwick resident and gardening enthusiast Mabel Wright has been presented with flowers from Gedling Borough Council to mark her 102 birthday.
Mabel was visited by the Mayor of Gedling, Meredith Lawrence at her home last week so he could hand over the bouquet on behalf of the council.

She moved to Colwick Village in 1919, when she was six years old, and has lived in Vale Road ever since.
Mabel has a reputation locally for being a keen gardener and still tends to both hers and her neighbour’s garden despite being 102.
