Fried chicken is now on the menu in Mapperley as a new KFC restaurant and drive-thru begun serving its first customers.
The fast food chain opened their new premises on Woodborough Road this morning.
KFC bosses say it has created 56 jobs locally consisting of full-time and part-time roles.
It’s the second KFC outlet to open in the borough this year with the chain opening a restaurant at Victoria Retail Park in Netherfield only a few months ago.
The new restaurant’s general manager Caroline Stevens said she was looking forward to people visiting the new venue which is all open plan so customers can see into the kitchen and watch their food being made.
She told Gedling Eye: “We will offer the best customer service and also great tasting food which will be served in the friendly ambient atmosphere of our new restaurant.”
Those using the new restaurant can now bag a bargain by picking up the Colonel’s Card which entitles diners to a selection of weekly offers and also loyalty points which can be used to save on the price of future meals.
The new outlet will be open between 10am and 11pm seven days a week.
