Friday Night Lights – Carlton Town to play first ever Friday night home game over festive season

The fixture scheduled for New Year’s Day has been changed following agreement with Grimsby Borough in what promises to be a special night and a bumper crowd.

Carlton Town FC have announced their first ever Friday night home game against Grimsby Borough on Friday, December 29 at 7.45pm.

The fixture scheduled for New Year’s Day has been changed following agreement with Grimsby Borough in what promises to be a special night and a bumper crowd ahead of Nottingham Forest playing Manchester United the following day, Saturday 30th December.

In the lead up to the festive season there is plenty going on at Stoke Lane, Gedling with the big annual Christmas draw to take place on Tuesday, December 19 in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar. Everyone who would like to support the club either by donating prizes or selling tickets can contact Gary ‘Boatsy’ Clarke on 07907 064189.

On the pitch Carlton Town aim to follow up their excellent second round win in the Notts Senior Cup as they they visit Ashington on Saturday 11 followed by a home tie Brighouse on Saturday November 18.

Supporters are reminded that return travel to away games can be booked via Gary ‘Boatsy’ Clarke on 07907 064189 and that at the time of writing there are a small number of 200 club tickets available prior to the next monthly draw which will take place after the home game on November 18.
