Warning to bikers following spate of thefts in Carlton Hill

Thieves have made away with two motorbikes in Carlton Hill.

Police are urging bikers to make sure their motorcycles are safe following the three thefts in the area.

Two males were arrested on Tuesday and are currently on police bail.

Police are continuing to carry out patrols in the area.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “If you own a mortorbike, please take extra security measures when leaving and storing your vehicle.  If you see anything suspicious please dial 999 immediately.

  1. It’s not just motor bikes, warn your children as they will take bikes when kids ridding them. Also breaking into garages and seen being a nuisance around the Mapperly area but seem to have reason to be near to the Valley Road area. The Police have increased presence but they are nimble and quick to escape and as reported the don’t give 2 fcks as they are on bail and still on a crime spree. What a real shame for all the victims especially the children throughout the Easter Holidays.

  2. One of the bikes was recovered by the owners after someone on Facebook spotted it being ridden around Top Valley. Theres a group of them stealing and riding stolen bikes in broad daylight because they know the police won’t give chase because they are not wearing helmets and they’re too young to face any serious punishment anyway.
