The business sells handmade vegan and plant-based skin care products with a keen focus on selfcare.

In a post, owner Natalee Onyeche explained: “Sadly it is time for Skin Solace HQ to shut its doors and find a new home. This is not a goodbye just a change that sadly had to happen.

“Skin Solace as a brand is not going anywhere so don’t worry, you will still be able to shop for your favourite natural beauty products online

“Soon we will announce a few locations where you will be able to buy a selected Skin Solace range and even click and collect.

Natalee added: “Thank you for all the support. It has been lovely meeting so many of you!

The shop opened its doors last March and was one of six independent stores to be housed in the council’s AMP building.

Customers expressed their sadness at the news in comments on the post.

Kate Horton posted: “Such a shame. Lovely owner and fantastic products. Just goes to show it’s so hard to maintain a presence on the high street.
