Train ticketing app Seatfrog has launched a new Secret Fare ticket option offering passengers in the East Midlands up to 50 per cent off selected journeys
Seatfrog’s secret fare option offers an opportunity for those who are flexible with their travel times to secure the best possible fare on selected East Midlands Railway routes.
Customers can book their Secret Fare ticket from when services open for reservation – which is usually around three months before and up until two days before the journey takes place.
Unlike with other pre-booked tickets, customers choose a slot in either the morning, afternoon or evening, but the time of the journey will be allocated 24 hours before departure when Seatfrog email across the discounted ticket.
East Midlands Railways say customers choosing the secret fare option could travel with them between Nottingham and London, and Derby and London, for as little as £12 or between Sheffield and London from £16, as well as between Sheffield and Liverpool from just £4.
