Fraudsters pretending to be police officers have been targeting people in Ravenshead, prompting a warning to people across Gedling borough.
Police are now stepping up their patrols in the village and have already spoken with small groups congregating in the Longdale Lane area of the village.
The road safety crackdown involved Gedling’s dedicated Operation Reacher Team and Special Constables and was held in response to community concerns.
Officers were called at around 4pm on Monday, September 28 to a report of the theft in Quarry Road in Ravenshead.
A sports car valued at about £150,000 could be sent to the crusher after it was seized by police near Ravenshead.
A car was taken from the Chapel Fields area of Ravenshead overnight on Tuesday ( September 15).
