An Arnold hair salon is on the crest of a wave after being crowned ‘Salon of the Year’ at the KH Hair Group’s award ceremony
KH Hair, in High Street, Arnold, took the prestige accolade on an evening where a total of 21 individual awards were handed out.
The much-anticipated event took place on June 9 on the outdoor terrace at Binks Yard in Nottingham City Centre, where KH Hair’s 200+ staff and VIP guests from Wella and ghd came together to celebrate the achievements of the Group’s 20 salons.
Always the most coveted accolade of the night, Salon of the Year, was awarded jointly to the team at KH Hair on High Street who took to the stage alongside the Group’s Castle Gate salon in recognition of their excellent performances in customer service, turnover and retail sales.
The KH Hair Arnold team were frequent visitors to the winners’ podium throughout the night as they picked up five more trophies including the Image of the Year Award.
Salon manager, Helen Stilwell was triumphant in the Individual Turnover category and newly qualified stylist, Amelia Krasinski, was named at this year’s Rising Star. The team also picked up the Marketing Award sponsored by Toast PR and the Salon Clients Award.
Arnold’s salon director, Dawn Bramhall, said she was ‘super proud’ of her team’s achievements.
“The hard work and dedication of my team never fails to amaze me,” she said.
“Everyone pulls together to support each other and it’s an absolute privilege to work with a group of like-minded people who genuinely enjoy each other’s company. This certainly shows in the salon, where there is always a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A massive thank you also to our wonderful and loyal clients. We couldn’t do it without you!”
Helen says it was an honour to be surrounded on the night by such talented hairdressers and incredible individuals. “We truly are like one big family,” she said.
“I’m thrilled to have won the Individual Turnover Award. After finishing third and second in the last two years, finally winning it makes me so happy! And, of course, if it wasn’t for our fabulous clients, we could never achieve such amazing recognition by winning the Salon Client Award. So, thank you to them all.”
Group MD Darren Messias said he was absolutely delighted for the teams at Arnold and Castle Gate.
He said: “They deserve to be recognised as ‘Salon of the Year’ because of the hard work, passion and commitment they show on a day-to-day basis.”
