Wet and very windy on Friday as the influence of Strom Babet continues. Persistent and locally heavy rain likely, particularly over high ground, and strong easterly winds bringing gales to coastal areas. Feeling cool. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Conditions remaining similar through the evening for many as rain and strong winds continue. Drier conditions spreading from the south overnight however, with winds easing. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Tomorrow is expected to see much lighter winds into Saturday and conditions becoming drier as Fridays rain clears north. Remaining largely cloudy however, and scattered heavy showers likely into the afternoon. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
