Second half saw Chasetown take the game to the Millers. Several chances for James Dance and Nathan Rooney were blocked by Carlton’s keeper Jack Steggles. The pressure eventually caught the home side out
with Mitchell Piggon lobbing the keeper after a poorly cleared set piece. Chasetown then took their momentum forward but to no avail.
Come the last five minutes of the game Carlton didn’t settle for the win, they took their chance from a break for Jake Wholey to slot past the keeper. Gaz Bee, Carlton’s Deputy Commercial Manager, said
“Carlton soaked up the pressure when they needed too and thats why they deserve the win.”
