A Woodborough primary school has been rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted after an inspection in April. Woodborough Woods Foundation C of E was previously rated as ‘requires improvement’ by the regulator following the last inspection in 2022
Woodborough Woods Foundation C of E Primary School in has been praised for ‘helping children flourish’ in a new Ofsted report.
Government inspectors highlighted the school’s curriculum as ‘broad and ambitious’ and it was also praised for ‘helping children flourish’.
Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes were judged to be outstanding and were described as ‘exceptional’ by inspectors.
Inspectors, who visited the school on April 23 and 24 also commended the school’s ‘inclusive Christian ethos’.
They said that pupils are safe, happy and ‘love school’. They acknowledged that the school prioritises pupils’ wider development and, as a result, that ‘pupils contribute significantly to the school culture’.
The outcome from this inspection reflects the huge turnaround at the school, which was judged to require improvement in 2022. Significant changes in governance, leadership and staffing have enabled rapid progress to be made in all areas, with Woods now recognised as ‘a school at the very heart of its community’.
