Two arrests after £350,000 cannabis grow is discovered in Mapperley Plains

Police have made arrests after discovering a £350,000 cannabis grow in the Mapperley Plains area of Arnold.

Operation Reacher officers executed a warrant on Mapperley Plains and discovered a large cannabis grow.

Two men aged 38 and 43 were found on scene and were arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.

Police said both men were transported to The Bridewell for questioning and were subsequently charged and remanded to appeal before the courts the following day. Both men were further remanded to await trial.

A police spokesman said: “This was a large grow with 349 plants; which when harvested would be worth in the region of £350,000.

“Op Reacher are delighted to be taking money out of the pockets of organised criminals.
