“We were up against some fellow local fantastic farm shops and small businesses so it was really tough competition, but the vote always comes down to the choice of the customers from all over Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

“We’re very flattered to be receiving this award again, and of course our farm shop wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for such lovely and kind people coming to visit us every week! We’re completely overwhelmed to have won this award, not once, but now twice”

Regular customer James, from Lambley said “I’m super delighted for the guys, I’ve been coming here for years, we are so lucky as the shop is on our doorstep and their produce is amazing”

The farmshop was founded in 1962 and is a family-run farm shop based on the outskirts of Nottingham situated on a working arable and beef farm that prides itself on being a community focussed rural enterprise selling high quality locally and home-produced food.

  1. My wife and I went in last Christmas to be greeted by a young lad using a broom to sweep the feet mats, the ones everyone wipe their feet on? kicking up huge clouds of dust that drifted over the counters to contaminate the produce? Not a good start. On asking him if he thought that was a good idea he just shrugged his shoulders. So we turned around and walked out in disgust. Don’t care how good they are, they won’t get my quid for produce covered in atomised god knows what.

  2. Great friendly lot especially the butcher’s I’ve learned alot about meat/supermarkets & try their local Nottinghamshire honey it’s to die for.
