People are being invited to share their views on plans for a new medical centre being proposed for Netherfield.
The new medical centre would be built on land previously occupied by the Ashwell Street School on Meadow Road. The site has been empty since the former school building was demolished.
Now an event is being held next month so people can view the new plans and also discuss them with Trentside Medical Centre staff and also the development team.
The centre would replace the current surgery on Forester Street in the town and help cope with an increase in patients when the housing development on Teal Close is completed.
The event is taking place on Thursday, February 8 at St George’s Centre on Victoria Road between 3-8pm.
Note that the event is at St George’s Centre only, not the Loco Centre.
Hi Meredith. The flyer being sent round is stating both. If this is incorrect we’ll change.
Nor is there anything in Colwick for the residents that also use the medical centre in Netherfield
Meadpw ROAD, MEADOE LANE IS WHERE NOTTS COUNTY GROUND IS. THE PLANS ARE NO GOOD.
Good spot, Ddm. We’ve amended now. Thanks for reading
Let’s see what happens this time around. Residents of surrounding area moaning and complaining about the noise of builders. Then when they ceased work the residents moaned and complained that it was all overgrown and looked at mess. Make up your minds!
It time to move on and redevelope this eyesaw. I was born and brought up on Ashwell Street went to the school and the site now brings the area down. It will be good to see it be a community based building again. A much needed facility for a growing residential area
Think it will be brilliant, we need it in a he area
The building looks great but what about the parking? Looks like there will only be room for a few cars! How many spaces will there be and how are you going to stop shoppers clogging them up?
