A group of singers in Gedling are on the search for new voices to join their community choir.
The Gedling Community Choir was established two months ago and meet each Monday at the Methodist Church.
The choir currently has over 15 members, but now organisers are on the hunt for more vocalists amongst the local community.
Choir founder Anna MacArthur is keen to get as many people in the local community involved as possible.
She said: “I really wanted to create a community-based choir that was open to everyone, simple to join and fun to take part in.
“There’s no audition, no sheet music to worry about and no difficult choral lines to take home and practice. We are made up of people of all ages, from all backgrounds, with varying amounts of musical experience who have one thing in common: we love to sing.”
The songs to sing are voted for by the choir themselves and hits by ABBA, One Direction, The Carpenters, The Beach Boys, Kate Perry and even One Direction have become firm favourites with members.
The choir meet on Monday nights at The Methodist Church on Gedling Road, between 6.30pm-7.30pm. Each session is £4 per person
