Nottinghamshire Police have issued a statement after an increased police presence was spotted by residents on a Mapperley road on Sunday morning.
Specially trained officers were called to a property on Bailey Drive on Sunday morning (16) over a concern for safety incident.
The incident was reported to police just before 10am.
In a statement, police said: “There was an increased police presence in the area while officers were dealing with the incident. There was no threat to the wider public and it was an isolated incident.
“A man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and is in police custody.
“The incident has now been resolved.”
Assistant Chief Constable Suk Verma, head of local policing, said: “I know this will have been alarming for local residents in the area.
“I would just like to reassure the public that this incident has been dealt with swiftly and robustly.
“You will continue to see officers in and around your area.”
