A 29-year-old man is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following a serious assault in Calverton on Sunday evening.
Police received reports of an assault in Park Road East at around 7pm on Sunday (17 May)
The 37-year-old male victim is currently being treated in hospital for injuries which are believed to be serious, but not life-threatening.
Officers are not appealing for witnesses at this stage.
