A junior football club in Gedling has got the season off to a flier – by securing a £750 sponsorship deal with The Nottingham.
Gedling Southbank’s under-7s boys and under-10 girls teams will play in strips emblazoned with the logos of the building society and its estate agency arm Nottingham Estate Agency.
It comes after The Nottingham’s Carlton Hill and Mapperley branches pooled together building society and estate agency sponsorship resources to ensure the young players could be kitted out for the 2017/18 campaign.
Customer adviser Bianca Scavetta said: “The Nottingham prides itself on supporting its local communities and the sponsorship of Gedling Southbank is the perfect fit.
“As a Charter Standard Community Club they provide a structured and safe playing environment for many local boys and girls aged from three upwards and have a really positive impact across this area of Nottingham. We are thrilled to be involved with them.”
Gedling Southbank u-7s coach Adam Chapman added: “We can’t thank The Nottingham enough. As a community organisation we not only rely on our fantastic volunteers but also kind sponsorship donations such as this.”
