A Gedling choir is hosting taster sessions in a bid to find new members.

The Fun Chorus meet every Monday, between 6-8pm, at Gedling Road Methodist Church and are inviting new voices to get a taste for the choir by offering the first session for free.

Anna MacArthur who runs the choir, said: “Fun Chorus is the ultimate feel good, community based, singing experience. Whether you think you can or can’t sing, have sang in the past or just love to sing in the shower, at Fun Chorus we welcome everyone.

“You’ll meet like-minded local vocals, have fun, sing, wiggle and giggle to well-known songs mostly requested by the Fun Choristers themselves, in a supportive, relaxed, non-judgemental environment.

“There’s no auditions, no sheet music and no homework to worry about!

The choir was established last year in Gedling, and now has five groups running across Nottinghamshire.

Anna added: “One of the best things about Fun Chorus and what sets us apart from other choirs – apart from all the fun of course – is that there is no expensive subscription fee or heavy commitment.  At £5 per session you can come when you like and pay as you go.
