Arnold town centre is set to come alive with a series of free family-events being held this summer.
The events, being organised by Gedling Borough Council and AMP Live, will be taking place every Saturday throughout the summer holidays outside The AMP in Arnold.
A spokesman for the council said: “From workshops and dance sessions to markets and live music, there’s something for everyone. No need to book, just come along and join in the fun!”
27 July, 10am – 4pm: Young makers’ workshops, delivered by Dice & Balls and a market.
3 August, 10am – 4pm: Dance Day; Simply Dance, a local dance studio from Carlton Hill, offers a variety of taster sessions.
10 August, 10am – 4pm: Art to wear (T-shirt printing) and canvas art; create and print your own T-shirt with Dizzy Ink, using a vinyl press.
17 August, 10am – 4pm: Scalextric racing from Race Day based The Dragon in Nottingham and artisan market.
24 August, 10am – 3pm: Circus skills workshop, board games and face painting from Dice & Balls.
31 August, 10am – 2pm: Rock ‘N’ Shop. Enjoy live music while browsing market stalls.
Leader of the Council John Clarke MBE said, “We are excited to bring a variety of activities to Arnold’s AMP this summer. These events are a fantastic opportunity for families to spend quality time together, learn new skills, and enjoy our vibrant community space. We encourage everyone to come along and take part in these wonderful free events.”
