Local armed police officers assisted Metropolitan Police with a raid in Carlton at 4am this morning (1)
The raid was carried out at an address on Greenfield Grove.
During the raid, a 57-year old man was arrested.
Chief Inspector Neil Humphris, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “People living in this area may have been aware of a large police presence.
“I would like to reassure them there is no ongoing or wider threat to the public following this arrest.
“There is likely to be a cordon in place while we continue to assist the Metropolitan Police in their investigations, so I would like to thank residents for their understanding and cooperation.”
