Charity event Burton Joyce Open Gardens will return this July after a four-year absence.
The first edition of this popular gathering was held in 2019.
It was created by Roxie Hickling, 32, in an effort to give back to the community and raise funds for Nottinghamshire Hospice.
And after a four-year hiatus, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Burton Joyce Open Gardens will be back on Sunday, July 9 from 1pm to 5pm.
A dozen residents will open their gardens for people to take a look around.
Roxie said: “It’s an opportunity for people to showcase their gardens.
“Many residents have immaculate gardens, it’s their pride and joy.
“It’s also a way to share a nice moment with the community.”
All the proceeds will go to mental health charity The Wolfpack Project and to Burton Joyce Village.
The previous event raised £10,000, with over 700 people attending, and Roxie is hoping at least half of this amount will be collected this year.
She added: “I’m really excited for Burton Joyce Open Gardens to return this year.
“I’m glad have been able to bring it back to the community.
“We’ve had really great feedback from the last edition and people have since been asking for the event to be held again.”
Other attractions, such as miniatures gardens made by Burton Joyce Primary School students, will also be on.
Tickets are available to purchase online and from local businesses around the village, or on the day.
