More than 30 employers, training providers and advisors will be attending the Arnold Jobs Fair next week offering a number of job vacancies, apprenticeships, training courses, advice and other opportunities.

The event has been organised by Gedling Borough Council, in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions and takes place on Tuesday 15 August from 1pm-4pm at the Civic Centre, Arnot Hill Park, Arnold, NG5 6LU.

A variety of employers and trainers from different job sectors are attending including Tesco, the NHS, Domestic & General, Inspire, Jigsaw Homes, Nottinghamshire Police, The Army, Nottingham City Council and more.

There is no booking required for the event with attendees encouraged to attend anytime between 1pm and 4pm to see what the event has to offer.

Portfolio Holder for Sustainable Growth and Economy, Councillor Jenny Hollingsworth said;

“This is a great chance for residents to come and speak to potential employers face to face and see what opportunities are out there. The great thing about events like this is you come across a range of different industries and opportunities that you may not have thought about beforehand.

If you’re looking for your first job, an apprenticeship or maybe even a career change, there’s plenty of great providers attending the event to speak to and see what options there are out there.

I’m sure it’s going to be a busy day for attendees and I’d like to thank all the great businesses who are joining us, as well as our partners, the Department for Works and Pensions, for helping us organise the event.”
