Adult gaming centre plans to extend into empty Arnold unit

A planning application has been submitted to Gedling Borough Council from Luxury Leisure of 91B Front Street, Arnold, NG5 7EB to change of use of a ground floor shop at 91A Front Street, Arnold, NG5 7EB from shop (E class commerical) to adult gaming centre (Sui Generis) including shopfront alterations and new signage.

A design and access statement provided by RR Planning Ltd. in support of the planning application states that Luxury Leisure is part of the Novomatic Group, a market leading provider of gaming and entertainment venues with over 250 high street and seaside gaming venues in the UK. The Group employs over 2000 staff in the UK.

The company currently operate long established premises at 91b Front Street which feature an adult gaming centre at ground floor level and Kwik Tan tanning salon Class E) at first floor level.

The unit at 91A is sited within a terrace of commercial retail units and is currently unoccupied, having formerly operated as a fishmonger.

The application proposes to expand the Adult Gaming Centre / tanning shop premises that will be flanked by the Eagles Corner public house to one side and eight retail shops to other side. There will continue to be only one Adult Gaming Centre / tanning shop use in this location.

The applicants propose to install a traditional style shopfront with ceramic tiled stallriser and aluminium framed glazing to match the existing shopfront at 91b Front Street.

Entrance to the property will remain as existing from 91b Front Street.
