A country pub in Lowdham is inviting local people to a VIP event to celebrate the completion of  major refurbishment work.

The Springfield Inn pub in Lowdham closed earlier this week as work began on a major refit prior to it reopening on Tuesday, October 25.

Not only will the pub get a new look, but Springfield Lodge will also be transformed into an InnKeeper’s Lodge – which will provide local accommodation consisting of 11 stylishly refurbished bedrooms, complete with modern comforts such as a complimentary breakfast, free WiFi and free parking, as well as bags of period charm making it a lovely place to unwind.

To celebrate, locals will be invited to check out their new-look Vintage Inn at an exclusive, VIP launch event on Friday, November 4, between 6pm and 8pm.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample mini canapés from The Springfield Inn’s menu of hearty, seasonal pub food, including favourites such as the premium Wagyu burger, delicious ham hock, and a divine twist on a classic – the king prawn, lobster and avocado cocktail.

Plus, to help toast the celebrations in style, guests will each receive a free glass of Prosecco on arrival, and 20% of their next visit.

Amy Brooke, General Manager at The Springfield Inn, comments: “We’re really excited to be able to unveil the new look Springfield Inn, and invite people to our VIP launch event.

“For so many years The Springfield Inn has been at the heart of the local village community, serving great quality, hearty pub food.

“Whether you’re planning a dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with the family, the new and improved surroundings will give guests that home from home feeling, with open log fires, plenty of rustic charm, and a great selection of regional cask ales and fine wines to choose from.

She added: “The new accommodation and addition of an InnKeeper’s Lodge will provide the ideal bolt-hole for short breaks and getaways and we’re confident this will not only be a big hit with locals, but will attract new customers and walkers from all over who want to explore the Trent Valley Way, with a place to enjoy a bite to eat and relax for the evening before relishing the delights of the Nottinghamshire countryside.”

The Springfield Inn in Lowdham will re-open its doors to the public as normal on Tuesday, October 25, with the new bedrooms at the InnKeeper’s Lodge opening on Monday, November 7.
