Police are asking residents to make sure their houses and garages are secure following a spate of burglaries in a village.
Officers report that here have been a couple of attempted house and garage breaks in the Calverton area.
These all which occurred overnight on Friday, March 17. The four addresses targeted were mainly in the Main Street area of the village. The offenders have forced entry either through garage windows or by removing roof tiles.
Although nothing was taken from most of the addresses, some power tools and a bike (pictured) were taken from one of the garages.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “We are now asking everybody to keep an eye out for the below bike either being used in the area or trying to be sold. If you do see this bike or have somebody try and sell it on to you please contact us immediately on 101/999 as appropriate.
“We would like to remind all of our followers to remain vigilant. Please ensure all security measures are in working order (CCTV and security lights). Please keep an eye out for each other and contact us should you see anything suspicious in your community.”
